When the doctor called to confirm whether the relevant security agencies were aware of the EFCC’s presence, he was informed that they were not. Believing he was confronted by kidnappers and acting out of self-defense, he fired when they broke into his apartment at midnight. Regrettably, two EFCC operatives were injured in the process. She shared how, at the age of 16, she migrated to the UK with only £100 from her father, seeking a better life. US Supreme Court Upholds TikTok Ban Over National Security Concerns

Image
Upholding Congress’ decision to enforce the divestiture of the app from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday ruled in favor of a federal law that bans TikTok, citing national security risks. The decision comes just days before the bipartisan law, passed in April, was set to take effect. In an unsigned ruling, the court acknowledged TikTok’s significant role for its 170 million American users as a platform for expression, engagement, and community. However, the justices concluded that the government’s national security concerns regarding TikTok’s data collection and its potential ties to the Chinese government outweighed the platform’s free speech arguments. The law, known as the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, requires TikTok to either divest from ByteDance or face removal from U.S.-based app stores and hosting services. Congress had expressed concern that the app could be used to gather vast amounts of pe...

The court then ordered that the test be carried out at a mutually agreed laboratory or medical centre in Nigeria. FACTS ABOUT WOMEN THAT CAUSE TROUBLE IF MISSED BY HUSBANDS

Image
Bishop Chinedu Nwoye  Regardless of her age, a woman will always have a playful and fun-loving side. She feels joyful when she receives attention but becomes sad when ignored. Trying to control her will likely lead to conflict; let her be herself. A woman is like soft grass—she thrives when treated with kindness and care. Understanding her makes the relationship smoother and more harmonious. If you oppose her, she might seem complex or difficult. To win her love, show her that you genuinely care. To keep her by your side, treat her with respect and dignity. Shakespeare wisely said, “Fighting with an angry woman is like trying to read a newspaper in a storm.  Just hug her, and she will calm down.” A man who can’t forgive her minor mistakes misses out on experiencing her true beauty. A woman seeks protection and support from a man, not control. She is made of love, kindness, and care—qualities that connect deeply with a man’s heart. When a woman loses her inner spark, it ...

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Christopher Musa, disclosed in an interview on Arise News on Monday that terrorists have been systematically impregnating women every four months after giving birth as part of their strategy to create a new generation of fighters. However, the loss of their territories has forced them to adopt this new tactic. He further noted that out of the 120,000 terrorists who surrendered after claiming to have repented, over half of them were children. Musa expressed concerns about the future of these children, stating that they would likely grow up to be more brutal and involved in heinous acts if they are not properly guided. He emphasized the dangers of raising children in such an environment, where acts of violence like beheadings are normalized, which could lead to the perpetuation of violence for generations. "If a woman gives birth,...

The former governor, who played a prominent role in the party during his tenure, has been at the center of ongoing internal wrangling within the party. Justice Jumbo cited irregularities in the conduct of the congresses, including violations of party guidelines and the failure to adhere to due process. The ruling paves the way for fresh congresses to be conducted, though the timeline for these exercises has n...
