BREAKING: Nigerian Couple Who Got Married Yesterday Divorced Today, Govt Official Demands Refunds




 State Government official has reacted to a shocking news, Habibu Abubakar Wushishi, recently shared a troubling incident involving a newlywed couple who divorced just hours after their wedding. The couple, who had tied the knot on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Abuja, found themselves separated the very next day, Sunday, December 29, 2024.


Niger state government official, Wushishi, who serves as the Director of Media and Strategy at the Niger State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, expressed his disappointment over the situation, stating that the couple's quick dissolution of marriage was due to deceit on both sides. He further lamented that he had made the trip to Gwagwalada in vain, saying, “They made me waste my fuel for nothing.”


According to Wushishi’s account, the couple had lied to each other prior to their wedding, which ultimately led to their decision to part ways shortly after the ceremony.

Shettima, 13 Governors Pay New Year Homage to Tinubu in Lagos

Vice-President Kashim Shettima and 13 state governors paid a New Year homage to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos on Wednesday. The president is currently in Lagos for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.   The House of Representatives member representing the people of Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency, Rt Hon. Oriyomi Adewunmi Onanuga, aka Ijaya, is reportedly dead. According to Gistcore, Onanuga, the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, died after a brief illness. Meanwhile, the sad news is yet to be made official to the public either by NASS or the family. Born on December 2, 1965, Onanuga was a politician and entrepreneur. She had been the Deputy Chief Whip of the Nigerian House of Representatives since 2023. She was born in Hammersmith, London to Nigerian parents.
