CEO Balija Eye Care Foundation Felicitates Enugu Commissioner, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Enih As She Marks Her Birth Anniversary
In a touching tribute to commemorate her birth anniversary, the CEO of Balija Eye Care Foundation, Dr. Jude Ilodibe Onoja, alongside the foundation’s staff and management, celebrated Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Enih, Enugu State’s Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs, and Social Development. Dr. Ilodibe highlighted Mrs. Enih’s commitment to public service, commending her compassion and steadfast dedication to enhancing the lives of women, children, and vulnerable groups throughout the state. Reflecting on their collaborative initiatives, he emphasized the remarkable impact of her leadership in driving change within Enugu’s social development sector.
Dr. Ilodibe shared his experiences working with Mrs. Enih, particularly on the “Sight is Life” program, which brought critical healthcare access to underserved communities. "It has been an honor to work alongside someone so deeply committed to the welfare of her people," he stated, underscoring her inspiring dedication. As the Enugu State Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs, and Social Development, Mrs. Enih has led efforts to address domestic violence, support youth empowerment, and create opportunities for women through scholarships and vocational training. In August 2024, Mrs. Enih partnered with Balija Eye Care Foundation on the "Sight is Life for Enugu Women" project, a two-day outreach that provided free eye screenings, glasses, and surgeries to over 1,300 women. Working closely with Dr. Ilodibe and Hon. Arinze Emmanuel Eze, she helped ensure the success of this healthcare initiative, which was widely praised for its lasting impact on women’s health in Enugu.
