In a show of gratitude for Governor Peter Mbah's pragmatic and people-oriented leadership, Senator Osita Ngwu, representing Enugu West Senatorial District, commended the governor for swiftly taking action to mitigate the adverse effects of the Federal Government's removal of fuel subsidy on the people of Enugu State.

This demonstration of concern reflects the governor's commitment to ensuring retirees receive their rightful benefits.

Expressing confidence in the committee's ability to provide much-needed relief to the citizens during these challenging times, Senator Ngwu urged the members to work diligently and transparently to achieve their objectives and ensure the benefits reach those in need.

Governor Mbah's care and empathy were evident through the distribution of palliatives to ease the hardships faced by Enugu State residents due to the harsh economic realities arising from the fuel subsidy removal. The distribution was carried out by a committee chaired by the governor's loyal deputy, His Excellency Ifeanyi Ossai, with clear instructions to handle the process transparently and swiftly for those in dire need.

Governor Mbah's commitment to upholding the welfare of the people and eradicating poverty in Enugu State is commendable. His administration has implemented numerous people-oriented policies, programmes, and projects since taking office.
