In a move to combat unemployment and breathe new life into the state's job market, the Enugu State Ministry of Labour and Employment has embarked on a groundbreaking collaboration with key employers in the region. Led by Commissioner of Labour and Employment, Hon. Pharm Chika Ugwuoke, a delegation has initiated a collaborative partnership with the private sector, commencing with a visit to one of Africa's largest employers of labor, the Nigeria Bottling Company Plc. The Nigeria Bottling Company, which was once a significant source of employment in the state, unfortunately ceased production activities in Enugu in 2018, resulting in a substantial loss of jobs for the local population.
